Welcome to City of Mukilteo's application process!
How to Apply
You can apply online. If this is the first time you're applying using our online job application process, you'll need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by selecting the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening. We use NEOGOV as our online Human Resources applicant tracking software to automate our hiring process.
It's important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess; incomplete applications may not be considered. Online applications are stored on a secure site. Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.
The City of Mukilteo and NEOGOV cannot control the flow of data and are not responsible if your application materials are not received in a timely manner. The City of Mukilteo and NEOGOV also cannot guarantee confidentiality of any information transmitted through NEOGOV.

Public Safety Positions
The process to apply for Entry level Police Officer starts through Public Safety Testing. This agency conducts the City of Mukilteo's written and physical ability examinations. Please visit the Public Safety Testing website to select a testing date, time and location. For Exceptional Entry Officer, Lateral Officer and other Police Department positions, please apply through the "Job Opportunities" link on this page.
Fire Department Positions
The process to apply for Entry Level Firefighter or Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic starts through the National Testing Network. Please visit the National Texting Network website to select a testing date, time and location. Apply for Lateral Firefighter or Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic positions through Government Jobs.
The hiring process for public safety positions has been established by the Mukilteo Civil Service Commission and testing is administered by the City's Civil Service Chief Examiner.
