WEAR PURPLE

WHEREAS, the sudden loss of Anna Bui, Jake Long and Jordan Ebner have shaken all of us to the core, and we grieve for you; and
WHEREAS, we pray for the recovery of Will Kramer and hope he returns home soon; and
WHEREAS, we wish for one more day with these bright and loving young adults, taken so young from us, to hold, laugh and sing with and play baseball with; and
WHEREAS, our whole community is feeling this pain and will never forget you; and
WHEREAS, you meant the world to so many, your parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and of course your many friends; and
WHEREAS, you are Kamiak Knights, who proudly wore purple to show how much you loved your school, your teachers and fellow students, and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that all of us, the living, demonstrate our ongoing love for you by wearing your beloved purple.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Jennifer Gregerson Mayor of the City of Mukilteo, hereby invite all members of our community to wear purple in honor of Anna, Jake, Jordan and Will. Let us also show them our love for each other by simply asking, “how are you doing” when we see someone wearing the colors. Together, we are all Kamiak Knights.
