Mayor Announces 2016 State of the City Address

Mayor's SpeechMukilteo, WA – Mukilteo Mayor Jennifer Gregerson will deliver her 2016 State of the City Address on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:00pm at Mukilteo City Hall.

“It is hard to believe that my second year as Mayor is already over,” said Mayor Jennifer Gregerson. “I look forward to sharing our accomplishments from the last year and outlining a clear agenda for 2016.”

At her 2014 swearing-in ceremony, Mayor Gregerson announced an Action Agenda of items that she intended to prioritize during her first year. By November, the City was able to complete work on all items, ranging from business license reform to initiating two citizen advisory boards: Rosehill Community Board and the Wise Investment in Transportation Taskforce (WITT).

In the State of the City address, Mayor Gregerson will discuss her priorities for 2016, including a new Action Agenda that builds on the work that was completed last year. In addition, the Mayor will discuss her vision for a sustainable, well-run city with safe, strong neighborhoods.

“I look forward to this chance to lay out my vision for our community and the steps we can take this year to keep moving forward,” said Mayor Gregerson. “I hope residents, City staff and our great business community can join me for this special event.”

Participants who have a disability which may limit access to the State of the City address should contact the City at (425) 263-8018 at least three business days in advance of the meeting so that the City can arrange a reasonable accommodation.
