Spill Response and Illicit Discharge Program

The City of Mukilteo Municipal Code does not allow ANYTHING except rain water into the storm drainage system.  The goal of the City’s Spill Response Program is to keep pollutants from entering the our streams and the Puget Sound.  This is achieved through source tracing, detection of illicit connections, and spill reports made by citizens.

Call 425-263-8088 if you see something entering a storm drain or a stream channel that looks like it shouldn’t be there.

If you suspect the substance is a hazardous material, call 911 first.

You can also report directly to Department of Ecology
